A creative home, not a shop
“I discovered this neglected space by chance — it was tucked away and forgotten behind a small glass door on a quiet street in old Milan. The moment I walked in, I felt that this space held the soul of what I envisioned for A di GAETA. Its quiet, imperfect beauty was exactly what drew me in. Creating the atelier was not just a project — it was a true labour of love.”
Officially inaugurated in December 2022, A di GAETA’s first atelier stands as a unique and exclusive destination to explore the brand in all its essence. It is a creative home for the brand’s founder and its dedicated team.
I was pregnant with my first baby during this time, which made the process both more challenging and more meaningful. Family and friends gathered around me to help bring the vision to life, stripping away layers of paint to reveal the original, stunning surfaces beneath. My vision was to transform this space into a second home — a secret nook where creativity could thrive and connections could flourish, offering a peaceful escape from the relentless rhythm of daily life in the city.
Here, shopping is only part of the experience — the atelier is a creative studio, a laboratory and an office, but above all it’s a welcoming living room for everyone who enters. Hidden within the historic Palazzo Marietti, in the heart of Le 5 Vie — Milan’s oldest and most captivating district — the atelier is surrounded by a vibrant cultural landscape: galleries, artisanal boutiques, antique shops and art studios.
Shoes presented as treasures in a library
In our atelier, shoes are presented as cherished treasures in a library. We’ve brought to life a true shoe library, offering an experience reminiscent of exploring a traditional bibliothèque. Each shoe is crafted with intention and every design holds its own distinct story.
Much like a book that is uniquely interpreted by each reader, every shoe can be styled and worn in endless ways, celebrating the individuality of its wearer.
The true essence of the A di GAETA experience lies in the deep bond formed between our products and the women who choose them. Our designs are not just footwear creations — they are reflections of the women who wear them.
