A di GAETA shoes are true to size, however fit can vary between styles. On each product page you will have suggestions whether it is better to size up or down according to your feet. Always refer back to this guide for more information, or contact a Virtual Appointment for further assistance.
Some styles are also available in half sizes — 36.5 · 37.5 · 38.5 · 39.5.
Production note — the UK and US conversions, the foot lengths and the half-size list are placeholders: they must be replaced with the official A di GAETA size chart before going live.

Product care
Leather is one of the most durable and repairable materials available, allowing products like ours to have an exceptionally long lifespan if properly cared for.
We pride ourselves on using the highest quality materials to create our products. All materials used are carefully selected and thoroughly tested before they are manufactured and offered for sale. Our ongoing commitment to quality, circular economy and extending the life of our products motivates us to always redefine design and craftsmanship.
Keep in mind that leather is a natural material and as such, variations in tone, marks and grains should not be considered imperfections. All types of leather and other materials, including metal accessories, may suffer from humidity. Humidity, salt and atmospheric agents in general can cause permanent and irreversible wear. Please take care to avoid rain and direct contact with heat, oil, grease, alcohol and other abrasive products. Always store your product away in the dust bag provided.
Tips & tricks, material by material
Suede is a very absorbent material and therefore marks easily. We recommend using a suede protector prior to use to keep products in good condition. A good quality soft bristle brush may be used to remove loose dirt. To remove stains use a soft pencil eraser or fine grade sandpaper, rub gently in the direction of the grain.
Crosta is very absorbent and if a stain becomes deeply ingrained it can be impossible to remove. We would recommend clients purchase a good suede protector and cleaner, to protect the crosta from staining and remove any surface dirt.
The wax finish boosts natural water resistance so it can be worn on rainy days. For extra protection, we recommend clients also purchase a good suede protector and cleaner.
Nappa can stretch during use due to its soft nature. Coloured creams and moisturising agents should be avoided. Clean with a soft cloth and neutral shoe polish. Nappa can be very porous and so it may show watermarks. Once these appear they are very difficult to remove.
Calf is a relatively strong leather but can become marked with wear. Any loose dirt can be wiped with a soft damp cloth and dried immediately away from direct heat. Avoid cleaning products containing solvents which will affect the surface finishing on the leather. Clean calfskin with a soft cloth and neutral shoe polish.
Patent is made from real leather finished with a mixture of acrylic and polyurethane which gives a long lasting, durable finish. Make sure that patent leather products do not come into contact with alcohol or solvents. Dirt adhering to patent can be easily removed with a damp cloth. With wear, patent may eventually lose its glossy finish. Avoid contact with dark or heavily printed materials.
Printed on calf skin, fake exotic can be wiped with a soft damp cloth. We would advise against the use of any cleaning products containing solvents which will affect the surface finishing. Avoid scratching or scuffing the material as once the surface finishing becomes damaged it isn’t possible to repair or restore.
Metallic leather may develop wrinkles with constant flexing; this is considered natural wear of the product. Should the leather become wrinkled or scratched, there is no way to restore it. Avoid treating the leather with any alcohol based liquids. Mirror leather can only be cleaned by gently wiping it with a soft damp cloth and dried immediately.
Extra care should be taken to avoid excess abrasion, as it may not be possible to repair once fraying occurs. Satin can be damaged by friction. Spray the item with a suitable protector prior to use. Any loose dirt should be wiped away with a soft dry cloth. Please ensure the shoes are always kept in their protective packaging.
Gently wipe with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth and dry immediately away from direct heat. Avoid the use of any cleaning products and avoid liquids containing alcohol or solvents which may cause damage. Avoid scratching or snagging the fabric.
Printed pony is made from calf hair that has been bleached and then printed. This is a delicate material and should areas become bald it is impossible to reverse the damage. We personally believe this effect to look cool and vintage, so why not embrace it? Loose dirt can be removed with a lightly damp cloth and left to dry naturally.
